Brock walks...

Well, it's official. Brock can walk. He's still not very stable but can definately move on his feet.

He thinks he's better than he really is and has decided that he can walk with objects in his mouth.

Here's a car...

his majic wand (aka drum stick)...

and a comb. We don't actually let him walk with these objects in his mouth, but he sure does try.

Funny Face Friday

I've seen others do a "Funny Face Friday" and have some good ones to share with all of you. Hope you enjoy the great faces Brock makes.
Look at all of those teeth! There's really only 4 up there but you can see more "buds" which mean more are coming....
What chu takin' bout Willis?
I think it may be time for a hair cut.
Agh!
This one was taken awhile ago. I meant to post it then because Brock's expression was so priceless but I forgot. I ran across it again the other day so here it is on "Funny Face Friday".
He had been playing on the ground by his activity table and was about to slip under it.
I think he caught himself and never fell which makes this photo even funnier. We called his name and looked over for the camera with this expression.

Watching Daddy Work

Brock loves to watch daddy work. Everytime Josh goes outside Brock goes quickly to the screen door and yells, "Daaa" or "Dada" while slapping the glass. He acts very similarly when Josh goes down to the basement to work. Brock will go to the baby gate and yell "Dada". What a sweet boy. He loves his daddy...and so do I!

Party Horn

You have to blow pretty hard to get these horns to make noise. I think it's funny that Brock thinks he's making the horn work by making noises with his mouth.

My Harmonica

This is another birthday gift. This one came from Mom and Dad. They thought I might like it. They were right, but I can only play the real high notes or the real low notes. I'll have to work on my range.

The Dancing Bear

This is one of my new birthday gifts that I got at my party.

Uncle Ben, Aunt Emily and Brayden gave this to me. It's pretty cool.

Plum Laugh

If you liked the "Bath Laugh", you'll really like this one too. Let me tell you how this happened. Brock and I were sharing a plum last night and he was getting a little frustrated because he couldn't take big bites with his little teeth. So, I decided to help him out and bit off a small piece and spit it on the tray. Yes, I know, I should have got up and grabbed a knife but I didn't. Well, he started laughing and thought it was hillarious. The more I did it the more he laughed so I kept doing it. What a funny little guy. He was cracking me up. As you can see I couldn't even maintain my composure as Brock was laughing at me. I hope you enjoy this little clip of our dinner time.

More Edinborough Park

Here is Brock pushing Jolee's stroller around. He is SO close to taking off with the walking. He'll take up to 6 steps unassisted then he sits down.

I know this is sideways but I can not get it to turn. Sorry.

Watch Brock walk.

More fun with family

Here we are at the Mall of America meeting Sponge Bob Square Pants.
Here we are outside of the Edinborough Park in Edina. It was really fun for Mikey and Christian. Brock seemed to have fun too.
The next three pictures were all taken inside the park.

Brock loves cake

And off the tub we went....

Brock's First Birthday Party

We all wore yellow tops and tan shorts to the party. Here is Daddy and I wearing our matching sunglasses.
There were 47 people at my party! My mom was so busy she didn't get to take a lot of pictures but here are some of the people that were there: Uncle Lloyd, Grandpapa, Frank and Ben
Aunt Marie and cousin Amy. Thanks for helping out at the party.
Aunt Britta, Uncle Matt, Nana, Jason, Heidi and Lucy.
Uncle Matt made the guacamole and Nana and Aunt Britta helped my mom out a lot too. Aunt Sherry was a huge help as well. The party would not have been the success it was without all of the help we received. Thanks so much to everyone!

Visit to the park

We all walked to the park and Christian thought it would be fun to bring Henry through the tunnel and down the slide. I couldn't believe Henry went...but he did.

Henry was reluctant to go down the slide. It was a slide made of rollers.
I was afraid Brock would eat the rubber ground so I made him stay in his stroller. He made the best of it.

Brock's 1st Birthday

I have a lot of catching up to do on Brock's blog. Here are some pictures of his actual birthday, Saturday, August 9, 2008. Here he is with his cousins Christian, Mikey and Jolee
Nana and Grandpapa came over for a few minutes to give Brock his gifts. He absolutely loves his red wagon.
My sister Sherry and I took all of the kids and Henry on a walk to the store to buy Brock a little birthday cupcake. His party is tomorrow and that's when he'll have his cake.

He liked his cupcake VERY much!

My Aunt Sherry's visit

Jolee Violet...my newest cousin. 3 months old.
Here is Mikey, Jen, and Christian. We are about to have a race between the fish, the alligator, and the duck.
The duck won!

My Aunt Sherry came to visit us. She brought her kids, Mikey (6), Christian (3), and Jolee (3 months). They are staying for almost 2 weeks. We are having a great time. We have gone to the parks and play around the house a lot. Here were are playing play-doh.

Lunch with the Girls

Me and my girlfriend Keira at Hell's Kitchen in downtown Minneapolis
Me just looking cute...
My mom and her good friend Vero. She is moving to San Franscisco in a few weeks and we all went out to lunch to celebrate her new job! We will miss her dearly, and Frank too when he leaves us (and of course Lola will be missed by us and Henry). It will be a sad day when all of the clan moves out west.
Here we are at Hell's Kitchen. From left to right: me, Mom, Auntie Emily, Jen Chapman, Keira, Vero, Joy, Sarah, and Auntie Britta.

Brock and Daddy

This is my Daddy. I love when we play together.

Brock LOVES Henry

Brock just adores Henry. We are trying to teach him not to grab Henry's hair but he get's so excited when Henry allows him to touch him that he screams and grabs. Just after Josh turned off the camera Henry jumped over the BACK of the couch to escape. If only we have let the camera tape for an additional 5 seconds you would have seen the funny ending.

My new sunglasses

Brock and I went to the store today and I found some kid's sunglasses. He loves to play with Daddy's sunglasses so I bought him a pair of his own. They kept him very entertained in the store. He wanted me to put them on him and then he would give me a great big hammed up smile and then pull them off, and then repeat the steps again.
I know this photo is blurry, but it kills me. It's like he's saying, "Look Mom, I'm a rock star!" Check out his right hand. It looks cartoon like...fat and only 4 fingers :)
Everyone tells me how much they enjoy the video clips, so here's another one for you.
