Feeding Ducks

This is Brock in the tub after we came home from the beach. He was quite sandy.
Brock got to feed ducks tonight for the first time. It was such a beautiful night, we went to Lake Harriett's South Beach to play in the sand and water. The ducks really liked wheat thins.

Asking Daddy for another cracker.

Daddy bought Mommy a new camera for her birthday. He could not wait until her birthday to give it to her so she opened it up tonight. The picture below is the only one taken at a high resolution. The others are at a lower resolution. Pretty nice. Thanks Daddy!

Our week

I think Brock really loves his sister. He always wants to hug my belly and give her drinks and food through my belly button. I was trying to take a profile picture of me at 35 weeks and he came and put his hand on my belly. I hope he still loves her when she's out of my belly!
The other day Brock came to the back door and said "shoe". I didn't pay much attention to him and then a few minutes later he was asking for help putting on his "other" shoe. He actually got the left on himself. First time he did that with his own shoes.
I think Brock might want to be a ballerina. He has been standing and walking on with his toes curled under like this. It looks so painful to me, but he sure seems to enjoy it.

As we began planning for Brock's 2nd birthday party, I mentioned to Josh that we should look into renting a bounce house. He looked into it and decided buying one was more reasonable for the long run. He inflated it within the first 15 minutes of being home the day it arrived. Brock absolutely LOVES this thing. We will have it up for his birthday party.

Our trip to the Lake

This is the cabin we rented in Spooner, WI on Lake McKinnley. It had 3 bedrooms, a basement with a futon and a bunk house. It came with the use of a motor boat and several other water craft vehicles.

Daddy, Brock and Uncle Ben going for a boat ride on our last day at the cabin.

The last day we were there was the best (weather wise). It was hard to leave on such a beautiful day but I had to go to work the next day.

Aunt Britta caught a frog. Brock liked it.

This is the view from the dock.

Brock showing me the snail shell he found.

Getting wet and dirty!

Emily and I are about 6 or 8 weeks apart in our pregnancies. We are both having little girls. How great is that going to be with Brock and Brayden only 6 months apart and the girls were be even closer.

Brock and Brayden love each other very much.

We all shared kitchen and dishes duty. Matt and Britta make waffles on our last day. They were great!

Brock played hard and fell asleep on the way home.

Our trip to the Lake

The week before July 4th, the whole Reitan clan rented a cabin on Lake McKinnley in Spooner, WI. We had a great time and here are some of the highlights.
Grandpapa and Brock watching fireworks.
Daddy getting Brock ready to go watch fireworks. It was pretty buggy and I didn't want to spray repellent all over him right before bed, so he wore Daddy's sweatshirt for protection.
Here we are in front of the cabin before we went for dinner one evening.
Britta brought a game called, "Bananagrams" and it was played quite a bit.
Brock and Grandpapa roasting marshmellows.
The fishing on this lake was pretty good. I caught this northern off of the dock one morning. Josh caught a huge large mouth bass, Grandpapa, Jake and myself all caught a bowfin (ugly large fish not worthy of eating). Matt, Josh and myself got up almost every morning while everyone else slept and went fishing. We ate quite a bit of crappie, panfish, and bass.

This is the large mouth bass I caught. Josh's was bigger but the picture was taken on a cell phone and I can't get it right now. Brock wouldn't stop poking it in the eyes. He kept saying, "eye". He really enjoyed being on the boat and touching the fish.

Thanks for all of the fun memories!

Best Friends

I absolutley LOVE this photo. Josh took it with his cell phone tonight in the backyard. I got Brock a bigger pool and he wanted to go swimming (spur of the moment) and we did all we could just to get his shoes and socks off before he jumped in. Brock loves Henry SO much!

Fun at the park

Working hard to climb up the slide the wrong way.
Check out this slide!

Wee!

Peek a boo!

Playing with a kid at the park.
Brock loves to drink from water fountains. There was a big one at the park and Brock wanted to drink from it. It was pretty funny.
