First trip to the zoo

Mommy and Daddy took me to the zoo! It was just Como Zoo, but I still got to

see lots of animals. I'm looking at the tiger here (just over my right shoulder).

I didn't want to leave, but Mom and Dad said there was more to see.

There were three giraffes. Here is the tallest one.

Mommy, Daddy and I all sat in the hammock and watched the airplanes.
Then Daddy and I shared a blueberry shake. YUMMY!

Mom bought me this cool new basket ball hoop the other day. It counts and makes cool sounds. She said it can hang on my crib or a door knob or even mount to the wall in my new room (where there won't be a crib)

After Keira and I got messy with sand and ice cream,

we shared a bath. We had a great time.

Last Thursday we attended a rally at the State Capital to support gay equality. Later that night Keira, Joy and Darik came over. We played in my new sand and water table after dinner and then ate ice cream cones. We finished the night with a bath for 2.

We sucessfully transfered over 90% of the sand to the water side. It was hard work...

but it was worth it!

Mom made us all ice cream cones. Mine was vanilla. Mom's was chocolate and once I tasted hers that's all I could think about.

Here Mom, you can have my vanilla one.

Back on the saddle...

I couldn't believe it today when Brock grabbed his toy horse out of the toy bin and tried to sit on it. He did it a couple of times before I got the camera. What a silly boy. What was he trying to do? Did he really think he could ride it? Only he knows but I got it on video.

Brock's 2nd Easter

Brock and Josh spent the Easter Sunday with Nana, Grandpapa, Britta, Matt, Brayden, Ben and Emily. They all went to church and then over to Nana and Grandpapa's house for an Easter egg hunt and then dinner. As all of you know, in church there is singing. There is typically no clapping after the singing. Brock was not aware of this and as if on cue began to clap wildly following the first choir's song. His clap got the entire church clapping. He did it again following the children's choir and once again, got the entire church clapping. He attempted to clap a third time at a less appropriate time and Josh took him to the nursery. He had a blast in the nursery. I applaud my son for clapping in church. I always thought it was odd NOT to clap when the choir sings so beautifully. Way to go Brock!

We asked that Nana and Grandpapa put berries in the eggs
so Brock could eat them right away instead of eating so much
candy. He loves berries probably as much as candy. Josh said
he shared all of his treats, berries and candy with everyone.

Easter...

Because Mom works every weekend, we celebrated Easter on Friday.

This is my cool Easter Basket. Mom and Dad bought me a game, some fun new plates and

some finger paints. I got to find eggs full of candy too!

Mom and Dad didn't want me to eat all of my candy right away, so I put my candy in a bowl for later.

Here I am using my finger paints. I made Mom a nice painting for Easter.

Here is the final product. If you look towards the bottom you can

even see an orange crayon. I thought it gave the picture some texture.

That's right...Mommy's pregnant!

Mommy's 21 weeks pregnant and we found out last week that's I'm going to have a sister! I love the baby in Mommy's tummy. I talk to her every day and give her nice pats.

Her due date is August 18th, which was Brock's due date almost 2 years ago.

I just liked this picture because the bat logo on his shirt is so clear

and his hands and toy is so blurry.

Last night Josh's wish finally came true. He got to lay with Brock AND Henry.

Henry will lay like this all the time, but Brock is such a busy body and NEVER lays

still. While Josh and Henry were lying on the couch, Brock climbed up and nestled in on Josh's

chest and played with Josh's arm hair for about 10 minutes. It was quite the site!

Over the weekend

I got to go on a job with Daddy this past weekend. We had to drive for a long time to get there. He said I was so good and patient, he bought me this ice cream cone for the ride home.

I guess I didn't eat it fast enough, but by the time we got home I ate it all...even the paper! Thanks Dad.
I do like some healthy foods too. Apples are one of my favorites. I also love bananas, berries, raisins, carrots, broccoli, peas and cauliflower.

I have been working on my hand/eye coordination. I saw Dad tightening up my changing table and wanted to give it a try. It took about 10 minutes of patient trying but I finally got that allen key in that little hole. Yeah!

Cough, cough, cough...

Brock has had a cough since early January. We've made a few trips to the doctor's office for it. He as been on an oral steroid twice and daily nebulizer treatments. He seems to respond best to the oral steroids which make them think he has a touch of asthma. We are going to try an inhaled steroid for a few months and see if he gets better. He doesn't mind the treatments because he gets to sit on the couch and watch Thomas the Tank Engine while he does it. He is with Henry.

Lunch with Uncle Lloyd

Dad's uncle Lloyd had a birthday last week and we took him out to lunch at Culver's. I ate a corndog, french fries and a strawberry shake. Thanks for hanging out with us Lloyd. We had a great time.
